Dr. Keiko Asao, our company's president, has served as a physician in Japan and the US, specializing in internal medicine, diabetes, and endocrine disorders and continued epidemiological research, especially in diabetes and obesity. Through her tenure as an academic and practicing physician, she has learned from interactions with many researchers and conducted analyses of large-scale cohort studies and national survey data, reviews of medical charts, and clinical research. Dr. Asao established Kappa Medical K.K. after working for pharmaceutical companies and a healthcare consulting firm in Japan.
